Sonify Health
Introduction I built a tool I call sonify-health, which I use to assist with monitoring my home network. It can be used for monitoring all kinds of things passively. I thought it would be helpful to have a deeper write-up that covers why I built this and what purpose it serves. Let’s talk about babysitting servers. I do this for a living right now, at scale. VMs by their thousands are my responsibility to hold up. A lot of the tech is pretty crufty, but mostly works and I’m the glue-on-retainer that repairs it when the system stops working.
